Encourage our Kids as they Read this Summer
Support the Library's Capital Campaign
The Library is hosting a fundraiser for the Capital Campaign that is linked to our Summer Reading Program.
We have challenged the children to read as many hours as possible this summer to lengthen the tentacles of a jellyfish on display in the MakerSpace. The children are trying to reach a goal of 500 hours for the summer. For each hour a child reads, he or she can add a ring to the jellyfish's tentacles.
We are challenging our adult patrons to make a pledge in support of the Library as well as the children this summer. Pledges can based upon the number of hours the children read this summer or a single one-time amount. Pledges can be made to sponsor the reading of a specific child as well, if there is a particular child you would like to encourage.
Pledge forms can be found at the Library or by using the download button found on this page.
All payments should be made payable to the "Town of Farmville" and are tax deductible under section 170(c)(1) of the IRS Code.
