Updated November 7, 2020

Farmville Public Library is welcoming patrons back into its facility with normal operating hours resumed after temporarily closing in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

What to know before your visit:
The Library has implemented the following operating procedures as safety precautions for at-risk populations, patrons and staff:
  • the requirement that all item returns must continue to be placed in the exterior book drop, which is available 24/7,
  • the requirement that face coverings must be worn to enter the library. Free disposable face coverings are available at the front entrance of the library,
  • the installation of plexiglass at service desks,
  • the spreading out of furniture and computer stations to encourage social distancing,
  • frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces,
  • and the addition of a hand sanitizer and face covering kiosk.

Please note that curbside pickup service is still available for patrons. Patrons requesting this service should call the library at (252) 753-3355 when they are parked in the parking lot and a staff member will bring the materials outside to a pick-up table.
