The Library will host New York Times bestselling author, Marie Bostwick, on Saturday, June 3rd at 11 am in the David Belk Cannon Auditorium.Ms. Bostwick will discuss her upcoming novel, Esme Cahill Fails Spectacularly.Ms. Bostwick's novels have been compared to such great summer read authors as Mary Alice Monroe and Kristy Woodson Harvey. You may remember Kristy Woodson Harvey has debuted several of her novels here at Farmville Public Library including last years' The Wedding Veil.
According to Woodson Harvey, “Marie Bostwick wows with this wise, warm-hearted novel about taking risks, chasing dreams, and finding solace in the places you love most. Set in an idyllic North Carolina mountain resort, it is a vacation in words that I did not want to leave and absolutely could not put down. Esme Cahill is a protagonist to root for who will ultimately uncover the true meaning of family, the power of ancestral memory, and how, sometimes, failing spectacularly is the only way to begin again. This is Marie Bostwick at her storytelling finest!”
Books will be on sale at the event and Marie will sign them. This event is being sponsored by theFriends of the Farmville Public Library.
